Janet Kimmel

Janet Kimmel is the founder of Alignmethod studio, dedicated to serving women of all ages experiencing core and pelvic floor dysfunction. Living in Kerrisdale with her two teenagers and her Weimaraner, Lenny, she enjoys Forest walks, Paddleboarding, tennis, Animal Flow, Resistance training and feeling the sand between her toes on a white sandy beach. As a personal trainer, Janet's focus is on empowering women by helping them feel confident in their bodies. With personal experiences in post-surgery struggles, her strength lies in assisting women who feel lost, whether due to surgery, injury, pregnancy, or postpartum, to regain physical and emotional control. Janet's background as a competitive swimmer and professional actor underscores the significance of breath work, forming the basis of her training methods, including Animal Flow, Hypopressives and resistance training.

Morning Routine 

Fresh air and Morning light. Warm coffee, tea or water ( mood depending).Meditation( anything from 5-30min ( time depending)
Wake up my teens with breakfast. Often a workout before my first client.

Training Philosophy

Move daily. It is not about doing a perfect workout each time. It is about consistency and in my opinion exercise is a nonnegotiable. The alternative is way too uncomfortable!

Janet’s Training Education :
